How far along:
15 Weeks 5 Days
This week I have been super opposite of happy, I think the hormone train hit again and Ms. Crabby Pants has arrived. Sorry, Rusty!
Symptoms:
Headaches come and go still, but just need to drink more water and eat something when it happens. It will usually go away. I still have been super tired, but I don’t know if it is because the moles that I had taken off are super painful and throbbing at night, or if it my cat that will meow at 2am, 4am, and 6am in the morning…every night! Like I stated above, I’m much crabbier this way. Which is super fun, I’m trying to catch myself when I find myself upset with a situation I can’t control, but words just fly out of my mouth like I’m a toddler again. I feel that I need to put myself in a time out, actually that would be a great idea…it sound relaxing. Ahhh….
Cravings:
This week, I have been having the same cravings as last week. But trying to get my handle on the cravings of salty food. Seriously, never had this issue before. I have been doing a lot of veggies with humus, or eggs with salsa to get some salty curbing snacks that can help conquer some of these cravings. It helps, but sometimes I like a bag of chips. Kidding but not, I will eat a serving if I’m craving it. I do however, pick the foods that have the most nutritional punch, I’m not going crazy and eating whatever, I have to feed the baby with the best foods.
Looking forward to:
I’m looking forward to actually look pregnant rather than looking like I ate a few burritos at lunch. And of course, feel the baby move! I do however “I think” I felt the baby move but I can’t be sure because they said that I have an anterior placenta (which can take around 20-22 weeks to be able feel the baby’s kicks and jabs). Unless, maybe the placental has moved (crossing fingers). I will know more when I have my 20 week ultrasound.
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT over the weekend!
We did our gender revel with our family this weekend, it was getting really hard keeping it secret since we knew a couple weeks ago and Adrianna was really excited to tell people. So here it is, we so excited and blessed beyond words that we are having another baby girl!
Exercise:
Still going strong but I’m a little slower this week, having to walk a little with my running and modify some moves with my workouts. But all-in-all, feel great working out, and I love feeling good afterwards!
My workout regimen during the 15th week, has looked like this (I plan my workouts on Sundays):
SU-Rest day
M-Full body strength training workouts (my online training program workouts)
T- Ran 6 miles
W- Full body strength training workout (again, my online training workouts)
Th-Ran 6 miles
F- Full body strength training workout (again, my online training workouts)
SA-Planning on running 4 miles, and 20 minute stair climber at Fitness Evolution or 20 min. leg circuit (depends on how I feel tomorrow).
SU-Rest day
Sleep:
Sleep has been tough for the majority of this pregnancy. Last week, I mentioned that I had 3 weird looking moles taken off my body, I had gotten some stitches, and had the most painful mole taken off between my toes (yes, weird cancerous moles will grow anywhere). So I’m running low on sleep, which is probably why I have been a touch crabby…okay, maybe a lot! Just a tip from me, get your moles check before you get pregnant because pregnant women carry more blood value in their body. The more blood value you can will go to your open wounds faster (which is good), so it will heal faster. But on the downside, your wounds will have increased swelling, pain and throbbing on those areas.
If you have an appointment don’t cancel because of it, it is very important to be checked BUT just know the swelling and pain will be worse because of it. This information was taken from my skin doctor’s nurse this week that it is normal to have more pain and swelling while being pregnant, and to do the R.I.C.E. Method with the wounds…rest, ice, compress, and elevate.
Belly Bump:
I’m still showing a little bump, bloat from the salt… Like I said a couple weeks ago, the belly has slowly moved up. I have gained nothing this past week so I have gained 2 pounds so far. I do however, think I gained something this week. I can feel it, will know on my weekly weigh in on Sunday. My goals is to keep the weight slow and stable, which will help with the stretch marks and the post-pregnancy weight.
Food aversions:
I’m all good in the hood on this one, my appetite has picked up and I have no aversions to anything.
Cravings:
Strawberries, eggs, bacon, veggie chips, any kind of fruit.
Miss anything?
Hard workouts, and wine. I sound like a wine-o, but I really am not. I just want one glass.
Excited for anything?
For our 20 week ultrasound to see our little girl and bring our daughter with to see her little sister!
