How far along:
17 Weeks 5 Days
Symptoms:
Headaches were better this week, drinking about a gallon of water a day has been helping. I have been feeling good for the most part, except for fatigue and exhausted but my work load was greater this week. Lots to create, have many ideas and want to make sure I get them done. Have been hungrier, so I’m making sure I have been getting enough healthy fats and protein to ensure I get what the body needs, when I eat more of those two food groups I feel less hungry for other simple carbs.
Cravings:
This week, I have been having the same cravings as last week. But also craving salmon, on the grill, apples, and peanut butter. I’m also loving cereal but seriously, getting a grip on that since I could eat the whole box. I have none left in the house, that craving has been stopped.
Movement:
YES! Started to feel a little jabs on the side of the belly. I’m super excited to feel more and stronger punches! When you have an anterior placenta, you will feel the movement more on the sides of your belly versus the front of the belly.
Exercise:
Still going strong but I’m a little slower this week, having to walk a little with my running and modify some moves with my workouts. But all-in-all, feel great working out, and I love feeling good afterwards!
My workout regimen during the 17th week, has looked like this. This week is just like the week before:
SU-Rest day
M-Full body strength training workouts (my online training program workouts)
T- Ran 6 miles
W- Full body strength training workout (again, my online training workouts)
Th-Stair climber 30 minutes and 30 minutes of a cardio workout on my online training program.
F- Full body strength training workout (again, my online training workouts)
SA-Planning on running 6 miles (maybe a little less depending on how I feel)
SU-Rest day
Sleep:
Sleep is better this week, Adrianna slept with us last night since she had a nightmare. But all is good!
Belly Bump:
I’m still showing a little bump, it is finally a real bump. It is harder the rock and not just bloat.
Weight gain:
I have gained another 2lbs. this week! Whoa! So all together I have gained 6lbs. and I can feel that the baby/all the other goods have grown in the last week and my inches are going up, pants are getting tighter, and certain areas that grow are itchy. This weight gain will hopefully slow down a bit, but I’m doing everything right so the baby must be growing!
Food aversions:
I’m all good in the hood on this one, my appetite has picked up and I have no aversions to anything.
Doctor Appointment:
I had my 16 week appointment this week and met with my new OB. I had switched OB’s because I didn’t jive with well when I met her at my last doctor appointment (12 weeks), we didn’t share the same views on what I wanted and so the switch was a positive thing because my new OB is AWESOME! I had an amazing OB with Adrianna but she moved and so finding someone like her was definitely a challenge. Baby’s heartbeat was 155 and was very active, had a spina bifida test taken and it came back negative. So far baby is very healthy and active, so excited to see her on the screen in a few weeks.
Miss anything?
Hard strength training workouts, and wine. I sound like a wine-o, but I really am not. I just want one glass.
Excited for anything?
For our 20 week ultrasound (3 weeks away!) to see our little girl and to bring our daughter with to see her little sister.
