How far along:
22 Weeks 5 Days
Symptoms:
I’m seeing the dark line get darker and darker along the tummy. My belly button is halfway out at the top, this baby is surely getting bigger!
This past week and a little the week before (21 weeks) I was feeling more braxton hicks. The later part of this week I have been feeling them more and more often as well as more round ligament pain. I’ve been drinking an abundance of water and that has help for a little while, but I think since I’m super active during the day I’m having them more often. I don’t know, I should consult my doctor…
I’m starting to feel the baby a lot more, which is great! I think she is more active than I thought, I felt like she was on the lazier side…which I was hoping that would be the case after having an energizer bunny the first time. 🙂
I’m having some major tailbone pain and that started a couple weeks ago but after filming the pregnancy workout videos the for 10 hours in the last couple days, it is sore! I will need to sit on some ice, and lay on the left side. I’m guessing that’s what I need to do. I have been stretching out more since I have been awoken by the wicked calf cramps, I literally thought that I was being lucky this time around and not getting those dreadful things. But stretching out before bed for about 10 minutes has done the trick so far!
My cough came back from the beginning of this month, which I told it never to come and it was not welcome. It didn’t get the memo, it’s totally here and it seems like it is not ready to give up the fight.
Cravings:
I’m not having too many cravings, I just want apples, and salads this week. I have been eating a ton of kale salads, with chicken, hardboiled eggs, tons of veggies. I’m also loving plain rice Chex cereal, not sure why but loving that pre-workout.
Movement:
I’m feeling her move a ton right now, I have been able to actually feel her move her body around because the movement is a different feeling than the kicks, and jabs. It is a great feeling to feel her more often, something I took advantage of when I did not have the anterior placenta with Adrianna.
Exercise:
I’m still feeling like a beach whale so everything feels hard but I have been doing all the workouts. I’m grunting more by just picking up stuff up off the floor and breathing really heavy with any movement. Being pregnant really makes you feel sexy, doesn’t it?
With my workouts, I have been slower and taking more breaks in-between the workouts but I haven’t changed weights on any of my strength training routines. The running, well, sucks. I have been running despite the feeling of having to run to the bathroom every 10 minutes, so I have been running more on my treadmill in my studio. That has helped (closer to the bathroom).
My workout regimen during the 22nd week, has looked like this:
SU-Rest day (my rest days are more like active rest days, I will clean like a crazy woman and organize, go for a light walk with the family)
M-Full body strength training workouts (my online training program workouts)
T- Ran inside on the treadmill 6 miles.
W- Full body strength training workout (again, my online training workouts)
Th-Ran on the treadmill for 4.5 miles and filmed my pregnancy program workouts for 7 hours! Whoa, I’m exhausted!
F- Ran on the treadmill for 5 miles, and finished filming 4 more hours my pregnancy program workouts. But now I’m finished! Just need to edit and publish it.
SA-Planning on a walking and a little light strength training workout.
Sleep:
Getting up for bathroom trips 1-2 times. Tossing and turning to get comfortable. Sleeping with my body pillow and 3 pillows around the body to hold onto….poor Rusty, he is almost off the bed with my “boyfriend” as he calls my body pillow and all the other pillows that surrounds me. Seriously it is a science to get a good night’s sleep. I officially cannot sleep on my back, I will wake up instantly with my whole arm numb from the carpel tunnel. Such a weird feeling, and the weirdness will continue as I get bigger. I swear, pregnancy is the best for everyone’s bodies! Lol! It is a complete miracle but some of the things that come with it are just plain weird!
Belly Bump:
I’m showing a bump, and feel huge. I have to start buying some cute workout jackets for work because all mine are starting to make me feel like Tommy Boy where he is wearing his friend’s smaller coat “Fat Guy In Little Coat.” Leggings are fitting but the tops…not so much, need to go shopping. If you need a refresher on the Tommy Boy clip, I found it for you. I love this movie and Chris Farley!
Weight gain:
I have gained .5lbs. this last week, so altogether 10.5lbs. I’m seeing a pattern with this weight gain, I gain 2 pounds one week, then 1ish the week after then only half a pound. If it keep this up I will for sure outweigh myself from the last pregnancy. At least I know this little girl is healthy and she is already a little bigger then Adrianna was at this point in the pregnancy.
Doctor appointment:
I do not have a doctor appointment until the middle of September when I am 25 weeks. But just found out that I will possibly need to find another OB for the rest of my pregnancy. My doctor who I really liked will be on vacation for 2 weeks around my due date and I will be have my 1st c-section (my first pregnancy was a natural labor, and I really struggled getting my little 6 pounder out. I will post more about my delivery later on in another blog).
So for me, having a controlled and Type A personality, would really like to have a doctor who I see normally deliver my baby. I really like my doctor I have now, and they DO need time off, so no biggie I will just need to search around.
Food aversions:
None.
Miss anything?
Just the feeling of not having anything to wear.
Excited for anything?
I’m excited to see her again on another ultrasound at 32 weeks and finish up her baby room!
