How far along:
24 Weeks 5 Days
Symptoms:
I’m still having a ton of Braxton kicks but nothing to worry about just yet. I get them more when I’m active training clients, so I just have been still and putting my feet up while I do work on the computer during the day between clients. Last week I had mentioned that they had seen what looked like a hypocoiled umbilical cord, and in the ultrasound scan this past Tuesday we didn’t see what would look like a hypocoiled but we are making sure to keep track on the growth of the baby with more ultrasounds just to be sure.
I have been having such weird stomach aches and feeling super full after eating and I looked it up and it sounds like the organs are making their move this week and I’m guessing that is why I’m feel that plus, a VERY tight stomach. This baby is growing and I feel she may have had a growth spurt in the last couple days because I feel HUGE! I don’t remember feeling this way last pregnancy so early. I have 14 weeks to go, I have to get used to this.
Cravings:
I craving apples, and salads this week….again. I haven’t been craving a ton this week, just feeling super full after I eat, so I’m trying to eat more snack type meals then the bigger meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Movement:
I’m feeling more of her whole body move this week, the space is a tight one and I think that is some of the feeling of tightness I’m currently feeling. I’m not going complain though, it is a blessing to be able to carry a healthy baby and experience all of these stages.
Exercise:
I’m still feeling like a beach whale so everything feels hard but I have been doing all the workouts. I’m grunting more just picking stuff up off the floor and breathing really heavy with any movement. Being pregnant really makes you feel sexy, doesn’t it?
With my workouts, I have been slower and taking more breaks in-between the workouts but I haven’t changed weights on any of my strength training routines. The running, well, sucks. I have been running despite the feeling of having to run to the bathroom every 10 minutes, so I have been running more on my treadmill in my studio. That has helped (closer to the bathroom).
My workout regimen during the 24nd week, has looked like this:
SU-Rest day (my rest days are more like active rest days, I will clean like a crazy woman and organize, go for a light walk with the family)
M-Full body strength training workouts (my online training program workouts)
T- Ran inside on the treadmill 3 miles, and 30 minutes on elliptical
W- Full body strength training workout (again, my online training workouts)
Th-Ran on the treadmill for 3 miles and elliptical for 30 minutes.
F- Full body strength training workouts (my online training program workouts)
SA-Planning on 3 miles on treadmill, and a shoulder workout from my online program.
Sleep:
Still get the numb feeling in my arms while sleeping if I sleep on my back and still having to get up to go to the bathroom a few times a night. I can feel her kicking and jabs on the left side, I sleep on my left side as much as possible. Both babies have loved to stay on my left side at night and during the day, I’m not sure if I love it since my left side is more stretched out and after this pregnancy it may be even worse. Oh well, right?!
Belly Bump:
My belly is growing, this week didn’t change but I bet it will be different next week. I know that the belly is definitely bigger. My shirts are getting tighter and tighter, I will have to get some medium size shirts for now.
Weight gain:
I have gained .5lbs. this last week, so altogether 11.5lbs.
Stretch Marks:
None so far. I have been using a coconut body butter after every shower and Vaseline (yes, Vaseline. I use it at night before bed) I used it when I was pregnant with Adrianna and had no stretch marks. So I’m taking my chances on this stuff again, but I try not to get in the hype of “belly balm, stretch mark creams” because frankly, some of those don’t work either.
Doctor appointment:
I just had the ultrasound and met with the high risk doctor afterwards, they don’t seem to worried about the hyocoiled umbilical cord but they keep close tabs on the growth with extra ultrasounds. Right now the baby is weighing in at 1lbs. 7oz. which makes her still measuring a little ahead. Here is her newest picture, so cute! Can’t wait till December!
Food aversions:
None.
Miss anything?
Not grunting after picking something up off the ground, and rolling out of bed. Seriously, being pregnant makes me not feel like a lady.
Excited for anything?
To have a healthy baby girl and I’m on the hunt for a newborn photographer. If you have suggestions, message me!
I do have to post some pictures I took of my first baby girl, love this sassy and fun loving girl!
