How far along:
34 Weeks 5 Days
Symptoms:
Feeling almost back to normal after the stomach flu two weeks ago, I can’t believe how much longer it takes to feel better when you are pregnant. I really praying I stay healthy for the rest of this pregnancy.
My lightning bolt pain that is coming from the hip flexor/groin area has gotten stronger, longer and worse. I really thought I wasn’t going to make it last night when I had the longest cramp, it is always when I’m in the kitchen baking or training clients. It literally takes my breath away and stops me from moving in my tracks. I do not remember having this with Adrianna. I’m assuming she is sitting on a nerve, and she is fairly low. My doctor is not really concerned so this must be a normal thing.
Cravings:
I actually have been having many cravings for grapefruit, chocolate and cereal….I do eat these, but in the right combination so I’m not sugar flooding my body. It is all about moderation.
Movement:
She has been moving, but more pushing on my ribs with her legs and pushing her head on my bladder and cervix. So all in all, super comfortable. I’m actually getting to that point in pregnancy that I feel like I’m done like turkey, I’m starting to really not like this point where you feel like you are wearing a corset but on that makes you feel like a whale.
Exercise:
Exercise this week was a little better than the last two weeks, I had a bit more energy. I’m sure because I had more food in my tummy.
My workout regimen during the 34th week, has looked like this:
SU-Rest day
M- Full body strength training workout, modified for my pregnancy.
T- 55 minutes stair climber
W- Full body strength training workout, modified for my pregnancy.
Th-60 minute stair climber
F-Full body strength training workout, modified for my pregnancy.
SA-Planning on a 20 minute stair climber + 40 minute leg/shoulder routine.
Sleep:
Sleep is something in the past, I’m SO tired all day but I have been having to go to the bathroom every 3 hours in the night and then my daughter usually sneaks her way into our room at some point in the night, and she is all over the place in our bed. I actually slept in her bed one night, since she has a full size, it worked out perfect.
Belly Bump:
My belly stayed the same but just looks lower. Since she is now head down, she is pretty content staying where she is at this point, and I can tell with all the lightening crotch pain and bladder issues.
Weight gain:
I lost a pound and a half this week, but I could tell since I haven’t been able to put down food like I used to. Super annoying, I love food. I hope this appetite comes back soon. I have gained 15.5lbs, but I think I have put on a couple pounds with the appetite I have been having.
Stretch Marks:
None yet.
Food aversions:
None.
Doctor Visit:
No doctor visit this week, not till 36 weeks.
Miss anything?
I miss a lot but I’m almost there, so I can’t really complain too much.
Excited for anything?
I’m scared but excited to finally meet our little girl, anytime in the next 5 weeks. I have been really thinking about changing my birth plan to a natural birth, if I can get my hips aligned like they should and my tailbone where it should be (I broke it a long time ago on black ice), I think that will help my chances of having a smoother labor. I’m thinking with the pelvis not balanced the first time and other variables involved. That is why it took 4 hours and 26 minutes to push out my first. She was literally stuck! Also, with the 4th degree tear, I really have to discuss this with my doctor one more time to get her opinion on this. I’m crossing my fingers on a natural birth!
