How far along:
36 Weeks 5 Days
Symptoms:
This week’s symptoms are basically the same with some new added. I’m still getting the lightning bolt pain in the groin/hip flexor area, and also many Braxton hicks that are lasting a little longer. The little Miss, was really quiet again till Wednesday this week, she was still doing her 10 moves a day so the doctor wasn’t too worried. But she does tend to scare me a bit, but the later part of this week she has really kicked it up a notch. Since November is actually over, and since I was actually due with my baby last month, it was a little bittersweet. If you don’t know, I miscarried right before I got pregnant again in March, and I was supposed to be due this past November. But December is a new month and my current pregnancy is going REALLY good, she is super healthy and almost ready to make her debut.
This week I also have notice that my breast do not fit in my bras, which means my body is doing what it needs to do and getting ready for the birth. But I do know that they will get bigger and then smaller in a month, so I’m squishing myself into the bras I have. Whatever, I can do this. I’m also squishing my whole body into clothes that really are not comfortable anymore. But hey, I’m almost there and I would rather save the money to buy clothes afterwards.
Oh and lastly, everyone should avoid me. I’m the most crabbiest person alive and I wish I could put myself in time out and leave the room. The hormones are real crazy and making me crazy….I could cry, get angry, and laugh in a one minute time frame.
Cravings:
I’m super hungry all week again. I need to get this under control, it is ridiculous! My craving this week has been hard boiled eggs on a green salad and some dressing, craving bananas, tacos, and those darn Lily’s Chocolate mini chocolate chips. I really never eat chocolate, I don’t ever like it. So this baby is like my husband, he loves chocolate. Thanks Rusty….all my cravings are usually his cravings and he loves it. Lol!
Movement:
Like I mentioned above, she is moving more now at the end of the week. I also have been getting some major lightning crotch pain when she moves, it is getting worse every day. I think she is trying to get out, but my body is not yet ready.
Exercise:
Exercise this week was good for this late in the game, still doing what I have been doing. My tummy has dropped and has gotten a tad bigger than the week before, so shirts are coming up on me when I reach overhead, so I look like a have a beer gut at this point.
My workout regimen during the 36th week, has looked like this:
I use the workouts from the Determined FIT Pregnancy Program.
SU-Rest day
M- Full body strength training workout, modified for my pregnancy.
T- 55 minutes elliptical trainer at home (this week was too busy for the gym).
W- Full body strength training workout, modified for my pregnancy.
Th-30 minutes elliptical and 30 minutes of legs.
F-Full body strength training workout, modified for my pregnancy.
SA-Planning on a 20 minute stair climber + 40 minute leg routine
Sleep:
Sleep is still not good this week, I’m SO tired but I the bathroom visits have increased to 4 times a night and Adrianna has been coming in at 5am to see if she can find that damn elf (Rockstar). I really wished Rockstar Elf, forgot to come this year because this is nuts! I think sleep will be better in 5 years, I think and hope.
Baby Bump:
My belly is getting bigger, and I think it will get bigger in the next 3 weeks or until I deliver. She is definitely gaining some LB’s. Yay!
Weight gain:
I gained another pound. So in total I have gained 17.5lbs.
Stretch Marks:
None yet.
Food aversions:
None.
Doctor Visit:
Started my weekly appointments this week, and so I had my Group B Strep test done. Let me tell you, that test is horrible, seriously a swab up the rectum too?! Goodness, I forgot about that with Adrianna. Which is probably good, I may have not went! Lol! Anyway, I did have a cervical check, (which really means nothing) but I did want to see if my body is progressing some since I have had so many Braxton hicks. As of Tuesday, I’m 1 cm dilated, 60% effaced and she is stationed -1. So all in all she is getting ready but again, this means nothing. I could be walking around dilated to 5 for 3 weeks and nothing. So I’m not banking on going early at all. Which is fine, since I still have more cleaning and organizing to do. Nesting has really kicked in this past 2 weeks!
Also, at the doctor I’m measuring exactly at 36 weeks and her heartbeat is 140 (that is actually when she is moving, and faster than normal). She has a really slow heartrate compared to Adrianna when I was pregnant with her, it is so crazy how each baby and each pregnancy is SO different!
Miss anything?
I miss not being able to bend over and shaving my legs at this point. I still do but it is a real struggle! Which also includes putting on shoes and pants in the same category!
Excited for anything?
To meet my baby girl, and also spending more one on one time with Adrianna before the little one comes. Adrianna has regressed a little in the last month, not listening, talking back and just being a little naughtier than usual. She really is a good kid, but has her moments of what the hell was that? But after talking with a friend this week, I realized she is smarter than we think she is and although she is excited for her baby sister to come, this is quiet an adjustment for her and we need to realize that. We are not spoiling her with things but just spending even more time with her and talking to her about the transition of the 3 of us to 4. I have realized she has been an only child for 4.5 years and that can add a little stress into her life, without even us or her understanding it.
So this week we had a lot of fun, starting off playing in the snow together (I felt like a moose, but I did it…pat on the back. Lol), made Christmas cookies, we have done art projects every day after daycare, she loves putting money into the Salvation Army Bowls, so we have been going to many stores to put the money in (I think she thinks it’s a game, but she does now where the money goes) and also last night we took Adrianna out on a date, and Rusty got her flowers. She was so sweet, and gave me a couple…and the cats ate one.
I have such a special little girl, even though she is a very spirted child that needs control of everything and most days are extremely hard, I will miss the special one on one time with her. I keep telling her that she is also considered my baby, but she doesn’t love that too much. She says she is a big girl, and yes, I understand that but to me she will always hold my heart as my first child and always be first baby. I’ve already made a point to tell her that we will also have one on one time together, so both kids will get the same amount of attention.
