I’m always in the store looking for new products that would be nutritious for my family and clients. So if you ever see me taking pictures of a food item, I found something great. Today I will add 5 products that I give thumbs up for, most are gluten-free and most are located in the organic area in your grocery store.
Stevia in the Raw I use for most of my recipes. I like cooking with this product because it is really easy and sweet so you don’t need much.
I have an allergy to dairy, but my husband loves cottage cheese and I found that Kalona Super Natural cottage cheese has no added ingredients and is from cows that haven’t been injected with antibiotics and hormones.
I figured it’s hard to always buy things in the organic area and most stores carry Smuckers brand so I found Smuckers Organic Natural Peanut Butter peanut butter to have no added sugar and only ingredients are organic peanuts and salt. So they stand true to their label, organic and all natural.
This broth I use for most of my recipes. Pacific Organic Chicken Broth is low in sodium, great flavor, gluten-free and it comes in vegetable and beef flavors.
With my dairy allergy I can’t have the yogurt either but my husband and daughter both like this brand. Chobani is lower in sugar than most of the greek flavored yogurts (not by much) and Chobani has the least amount of ingredients in flavored yogurts. Plain is best but if you choose to have flavors, make sure to check the back for the sugar content–sugars are usually high in flavored yogurts.
Also, when I choose products I look for the least amount of ingredients as possible. I don’t really buy to many products because I like to make the foods myself so I know what is in it. But sometime life is busy and you need a quick snack so I will continue to post every Friday for my favorite products.
