All I can say is “YES”!! I love banana bread but I have not touched it in awhile because I like to stay away from all the carbohydrates and sugar. So with a little experimenting I made something that tastes heavenly in the mouth–without using up all my sugar intake in one serving!
Ingredients
2 scoops vanilla protein powder ( I used Life Basic brand)
½ cup almond flour
1 teaspoon organic peanut butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ cup unsweetened applesauce
6 packets of Truvia
½ cup water
1/8 teaspoon salt (do not omit)
2 teaspoon of banana extract
2/3 cup egg whites
Preparation
Preheat oven at 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together, until smooth in texture.
Pour into a 9 X 9 baking dish.
Bake for 22 minutes, if you want the bars firmer leave them in till 25 minutes but watch them.
Take out and let cool.
Store in the fridge.
Optional: Add a dash of cinnamon on top.
Enjoy!

These look awesome!! Can’t wait to try!!
How many servings for this recipe?
This pan of bars makes 8 individual bars, so 2 bars make 1 serving.
This would be fine, get rid of the unsweetened applesauce and it should workout just fine, 1/2 cup mashed bananas. It may bring up the sugar and carbohydrate content (which is why I added the extract instead). But it should work out okay, if it is very think then add a little water until it is mixed well.
