This is another pizza recipe and probably one of my favorites! This is very similar to pizza, well…almost. I hope you enjoy the low fat/low calorie/gluten and dairy free pizza.
Ingredients
Crust:
1/4 cup liquid egg whites
2 Tablespoons almond flour
¼ teaspoon basil
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon of crushed red pepper
Toppings:
3-4 ounces of cooked ground turkey (or protein of choice).
1-ounce fat free/low fat cheese, or low-fat feta cheese. (I used DF Almond Mozzarella Cheese)
1 tbs. fresh diced tomatoes
1 cup baby spinach leaves
1/2 cup (organic) pizza sauce-low sugar
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Cooking the crust first:
Mix ingredients together using a whisk to break up the almond flour.
Cook crust first on stove top in non-stick spray pan and cook as if it is a pancake.
Add desired toppings:
Spread on the Pizza Sauce
Add 3-4 ounces of cooked ground turkey (or protein of choice).
Sprinkle on the fat free/low fat mozzarella cheese or low-fat feta cheese.
Add the 1 tbs. fresh diced tomatoes (optional).
Sprinkle spinach leaves (Cooked in microwave with cover for 30-45 seconds to soften).
Lastly:
Place back in oven for 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted to your liking.
