I love ice cream but I don’t like all the fat and calories that are contain in it. So I made up this ice cream to give you the flavor but not the fat, bonus is there are 20 grams of added protein!
Ingredients
1/2 container of coconut yogurt or any flavor you want.
1 C Vanilla Unsweetened Coconut Milk (or nondairy milk of choice, or milk).
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (I use IsaPro protein powder).
1 packet of Truvia.
1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon.
1/4 tsp Ground Clove.
Preparation
In a food processor, ice cream maker or heavy duty blender if you have it, add all ingredients. Start with 1/2 cup of the unsweetened coconut milk. Blend until smooth and creamy. You might want to start the process with a few pulses first and then let it go for a bit. If it starts getting too thick on you and won’t blend, add in some more of the Unsweetened Coconut Milk. Slowly until it starts moving again and blending.
Dish up into ice cream bowls add almonds(optional) and serve immediately!
