This oatmeal is great year round but even better in the Fall! 1 serving.
1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
6 tablespoon of water
1/4 cup gluten-free oatmeal (or organic regular oats)
Pinch of cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg
1/8 cup puree pumpkin
1/8 cup sliced almonds
1/8 cup water
1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
In a small saucepan, bring milk and water to a boil over medium heat.
Add oats, cinnamon and nutmeg. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer until liquid is absorbed, 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once liquid is absorbed, stir in pumpkin and almonds. Set aside.
Combine water and protein powder in a separate bowl.
Mix with a fork until protein powder is dissolved.
Pour protein powder mixture over oatmeal.
