Turkey Taco Slow Cooker Stew


This is a great meal for those that are doing the clean start for the Diet Free Life, this meal is considered a fat burning meal and it is super tasty! My hubby, gave it a big thumbs up! It is even better because it was super simple and didn’t have to cook when I finished work–Bonus!  Serves 4. Serving Size is 1 1/2 cup stew.

Ingredients

Earthbound Farm Kale bag--10 Ounce
1 lbs. extra lean ground turkey (browned)
1-15 ounce organic tomato sauce
1-15 ounce canned black beans (low sodium)
2 cups low sodium (gluten-free) chicken broth
1/2 cup mild salsa
1/2 cup chopped white onion
1 tablespoon garlic cloves
1/2 cup water
Seasonings:
1/2 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

Brown the extra lean ground turkey in a skillet.
Pour in the ground turkey and all the other ingredients into a medium size crackpot.
Set the temperature on low for 6-8 hours or until ready to eat.
Enjoy warm!
