Another protein ball recipe, and this one is almost better! Well, if you like chocolate like myself! This can be vegan if you use plant protein powder. Makes 12 protein balls. Serving size: 3 protein balls.
Ingredients
1/2 banana
2 scoops chocolate protein powder
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk (pour in 1/2 and stir before adding more, depending on the powder you use it might be to runny)
1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1/8 cup stevia powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
1. Blend all wet and dry ingredients together, make sure to stir in the unsweetened milk slowly until the right consistency. Since my protein powder is thicker, I do use more. So that being said mix 2 tablespoons at a time to get the right thickness.
2. First, put the dough into the freezer for 15-20 minute to stiffen the dough.
2. When the dough is ready, roll dough into small balls, about 2 tablespoons.
3. Put into the freezer for 30 minutes, and eat or store in a container with a lid in the freezer for 1 week.
Tip: When you are ready to eat them, take them out of the freezer if left longer in the freezer for 10-15 minutes until soften enough to eat.
This is a great snack or breakfast!
