This is great for kids because you get really good nutrition with this recipe. Healthy fats, fiber, antioxidants and great flavor. You can pair this up with yogurt or just have it as a crunchy snack for your kids!
Ingredients
1/3 cup pure maple syrup
3/4 cup raisins or any type of dried fruit or Dry Roasted Edamame
1 Tbsp. Flaxseed (optional)
1 Tbsp. Vanilla (if you use dried
1/8 cup Pumpkin Seeds or nut of choice
3 cups gluten-free oats
1/4 cup coconut oil (melt before adding to the mix)
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Optional: Add Tbsp. of dairy free Mini Chocolate Chips (or regular if you can tolerate dairy) or switch up taste and add spicy seasonings.
Tip: If too dry, add a little water.
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
Spay a flat sheet with non-stick spray, lay the granola flat on the pan at bake for 25 minutes.
Let cool and put in the fridge for 2 hours to harden.
This makes about 3 cup of granola.
