How far along:
25 Weeks 5 Days
Symptoms:
I’m still having a ton of Braxton kicks but nothing to worry about just yet. I still have some stomach pains, and now rib pain. It is super painful at night, after a full day. My stomach is super tight, like it is stretching and feeling super full after eating even just a little amount of food. I have been super itchy, escpecially in the stomach and tata’s. So LOTS of moisturizer and water this past week! Like I said last week, I felt like I gained some weight…yes, I sure did (see below)! This baby is growing and must have had a growth spurt because of the pain I’m feeling in the stomach and ribs, and I also look like I swallowed a big beach ball.
Cravings:
I craving apples, and salads this week….again. I have been making my pumpkin pie protein bars and munching on those as a snack. I’m getting into the pumpkin baking this past week, but I can’t eat a ton. I usually can put down a lot of food and the last 2 weeks have been a struggle. SO. NOT. COOL. DUDE.
Movement:
This week has been a little slow for movement, she is still doing ok but some weeks she is busier than others and this week is a slow week. She does however like kicking the bladder and cervix, so that’s fun.
Exercise:
Like I stated above I feel like I ate a beach ball and now look like a beach whale. Things have been super hard, but I will not give up on exercise since this makes me feel better. I did however not run once this week, I tried it and started to contract again. This baby wants me to sit on the couch and eat junk food. It really takes a lot of motivation to get up early and workout this beachy body. Just keeping it real here folks….
I have been lifting more this week and taking things slower and taking more breaks in-between the workouts but I haven’t changed weights on any of my strength training routines.
My workout regimen during the 25th week, has looked like this:
SU-Rest day (my rest days are more like active rest days, I will clean like a crazy woman and organize, go for a light walk with the family)
M-Full body strength training workouts (my online training program workouts)
T- 55 minutes on elliptical, and 1.5 mile walk in the middle of the day.
W- Full body strength training workout (again, my online training workouts)
Th-30 minutes elliptical and 30 minutes kettle bell workout.
F- Full body strength training workouts (my online training program workouts)
SA-Planning on 10 minutes on elliptical and a shoulder workout from my online program
Sleep:
Still get the numb feeling in my arms while sleeping if I sleep on my back and still having to get up to go to the bathroom a few times a night. I can feel her kicking and jabs on the left side, I sleep on my left side as much as possible. I have been having to roll out of bed with some grunting (I know, poor husband…), I really don’t want to get Diastasis Recti and with all the stretching I’m having I need to help myself out a little by rolling out positions. I look ridiculous, but everything I do right now looks awkward.
Belly Bump:
My belly is growing, and the belly is definitely bigger. Even Rusty had mentioned something, which he usually keeps his thoughts about my size quiet. So I know I got bigger.
Weight gain:
I have gained a whopping 3lbs.! Yes, you heard that right, I ate less this last week and worked out normal and gained 3lbs. This pregnancy is getting weirder and weirder every day. So altogether 14.5lbs.
Stretch Marks:
None so far. I have been using a coconut body butter after every shower and Vaseline (yes, Vaseline. I use it at night before bed) I used it when I was pregnant with Adrianna and had no stretch marks.
Doctor appointment:
Had my 24 week appointment this week, and it went well. Heartbeat is 138, which is lower than Adrianna (goes to show that the gender predictor things don’t work). I had scheduled my c-section and it is actually later then the due date, but due to the holiday’s it has to be later unless I go on my own. Which I have a feeling I will go into labor before that date.
Food aversions:
None, but morning sickness came back this past weekend and has stuck around. But it could be heartburn/acid reflux? I’m going to start taking a shot of apple cider vinegar daily to see if I’m lacking acid in the body that gives me the feeling of morning sickness. I’ll keep you posted if this works!
Miss anything?
Not grunting after picking something up off the ground, and rolling out of bed. Wearing clothes that fit properly. Umm, and wine!
Excited for anything?
To meet my 2nd baby girl! And getting my Pregnancy Workout Series complete, I finally finished this project but working on a book that will go with it. This is a huge project but seriously, super fun to work on while pregnant.
And lastly, finish the baby room. It is almost complete! I will post my the pictures of my nursery when complete. My cats already think the crib is their bed, once baby arrives these cats will be hiding….they are scared of babies.
