So today is a usual mom and daughter morning, where we calmly have coffee, get ready to start our day and get in the car which is usually the greatest thing because my daughter listens so well. Then we go to one of my favorite places T.J.Maxx and get some ideas with my mother dearest for a care package for someone near and dear to our heart. While we were shopping looking at all the great gift idea’s my little one just sits in her cart and smiles. Checked out at T.J. Maxx and left without a worry in the world…can you hear that?? No, okay—that was absolute lie.
This is how it started, my hubby left for work. Adrianna started whipping food all over the place, so I decided to get the heck out of the house. It took a lot of work and sweat (30 minutes to be exact) to get her ready, thank goodness it is a day off from working out. After putting on her clothes, shoes, hat, mittens, and coat. We finally made it to the garage door…low and behold my lovely husband (God Bless his soul) left the car running for 30 minutes in a closed garage. Thank goodness it didn’t take me longer to get out of the house! I had to call him and let me know I was still alive. “Whoops” he says I forgot to leave the garage open.
No biggie, I will air out our house…
Finally, got my one kid (I don’t know how people do this with more than one kid…I applaud you), in her car seat and something smells…Okay, back to the changing table. I’m almost lost it…but I kept my cool.
Got her in the car and we were singing a calming song from Prince (of course), Let’s Go Crazy…Let’s go nuts. Yep, I’m that mom…very proud.
Met my mother at T.J. Maxx and my daughter is now on her best behavior, well for 10 minutes until we start shopping. I’m just stating this, but there are a lot of glass and ceramic pieces on the bottom racks of the store. So FYI don’t bring your child who is around 2 years old if you don’t want something broken. Just speaking from experience. There were melt downs on the floor, but at least the floor got cleaned right?? After a fun filled stress-ball morning, Adrianna feel asleep in the car looking like a little angel above. Okay, she wiped the swipe clean…she is precious.
I realized through stress and annoyance that these days will pass where I won’t have to drag my child off the dirty floor and I will miss it. So I need to cherish every moment, and capture these moments–sometimes on camera. Here is a video of Miss A this week, she is full sass and the best thing that ever happen to me.
First time listening to the new Prince song:
