How far along:
18 Weeks 5 Days
Symptoms:
This week, I could feel that my little one is either on my bladder or has gained weight because I can no longer hold my bladder. Just kidding but not….I also has received a terrible cold, cough and as of today laryngitis. So the coughing and sneezing as done a wonder on my bladder, seriously, Depends anyone?
Cravings:
This week, I have been cravings Popsicle’s, smoothies and anything cold for the throat, fruit, eggs, salmon and zucchini chips. My favorite recipe is this one: http://daynadetersfitness.com/recipe/zucchini-chips/
Movement:
I actually can’t tell much about the movement because I have been coughing so bad that the whole body is basically moving.
Exercise:
Still going strong but I’m a little slower this week, having to walk a little with my running and modify some moves with my workouts. But all-in-all, feel great working out, and I love feeling good afterwards!
My workout regimen during the 18th week, has looked like this. This week is just like the week before:
SU-Rest day
M-Full body strength training workouts (my online training program workouts)
T- 20 minutes run on the treadmill, 10 minutes Stair Climber and 30 minute Shoulder Workout on my online program.
W- Full body strength training workout (again, my online training workouts)
Th-Walk/run 6 miles outside.
F- Full body strength training workout (again, my online training workouts)
SA-Planning on a walk/run 4-6 miles (depending on how I feel)
SU-Rest day
Sleep:
Sleep hasn’t been great because of being sick but no biggie this should not last long.
Belly Bump:
I’m still showing a little bump, it is finally a real bump. It is harder the rock and not just bloat.
Weight gain:
I have gained 1lbs. and so all together I have gained 7lbs. and I can feel that the baby/all the other goods have grown in the last week and my inches are going up, pants are getting tighter, and certain areas that grow are itchy. This weight gain will hopefully slow down a bit, but I’m doing everything right so the baby must be growing!
Food aversions:
I had a couple days that I had felt the morning sickness coming back so some aversions had also came back. Not as bad as the 1st trimester and I think this came because of this cold.
Miss anything?
I miss not feeling 100%. I have to remember how grateful I am when I do start feeling better, sometimes getting sick just reminds us how great things really are.
Excited for anything?
For our 20 week ultrasound (week and a half) to see our little girl and to bring our daughter with to see her little sister. Feeling better and feeling the baby’s little kicks and jabs more. It maybe 20-22 weeks to really feel the baby’s kick with this anterior placenta but until then I will be waiting!
