How far along:
29 Weeks 5 Days
Symptoms:
Not much different than last week, less Braxton hicks. I do however get them when I push myself too much, bend over, walk fast, workout to hard, basically living my normal life! Ha! Baby was super quiet from Sunday till Wednesday, which was a little scary. But after I contacted my doctor, she started moving much more and still is. I wonder if there is a growth spurt between 29 weeks to 30 weeks? She sure keeps me on my toes!
I came down with some weird itchy bumps on my arms and more burning itch on my legs. It is worse at night and I just have to make sure to take Benadryl before bed to help get rid of the itch while I sleep.
Cravings:
I craving grapefruit, apples, anything pumpkin, chocolate and CAKE. I finally made something that taste like cake but doesn’t have all the unnecessary calories, sugar and fat in it. I know I’m pregnant and some seem to think you can eat for 2 but really you can’t. And I really want to make sure I have enough good nutrients that will fuel my body for the exhausting job it is doing and fuel the baby’s mental and physical growth.
If you are interested in the cake I had made this week, you can check it out here:

Movement:
After the glucose test last Wednesday and all the movement it really slowed down for the rest of the week. Poor thing, must have been just exhausted from all the sugar! After this past Wednesday, she has been moving regularly.
Exercise:
Exercise is hard in general, and I still have around 9 weeks left. I really miss my pre-pregnancy workouts, and can’t wait for the time I can start them up again!
My workout regimen during the 29th week, has looked like this:
SU-Full body strength training workout, at the gym.
M-60 minutes on the elliptical.
T-Full body strength training workout, modified for my pregnancy.
W-55 minutes elliptical.
Th-30 minute elliptical + 30 minute leg routine.
F- Full body strength training workout.
SA-Planning on a 30 minute leg routine workout + 3 mile breast cancer walk with the family at Making Strides for Breast Cancer and SCSU. You can join our team if you like!
Sleep:
This is a question, again this week. What is that again? This time it was our 4 year old that was waking us up this week, she got a terrible cold and the cold ALWAYS goes to her chest. There were a few nights and days that we thought we had a newborn baby, one right we clocked about a total of 3 hours. We finally got our kid to sleep through the night since she has been born and then she gets sick…BUT on a good note she slept till 5:30 this morning. So not going to float my own boat or anything but that was some good sleeping!
Belly Bump:
It is there, and getting bigger…every week. Like it should.
Weight gain:
I have gained a pound this week. So all together I have gained 17.5lbs. almost at the total weight gain when I delivered Adrianna. It is weird but my measurements are smaller than I was with Adrianna but the weight is higher. I’m hoping it is muscle…yeah….I’m going with that.
Stretch Marks:
None yet. I have been using a coconut body butter after every shower and Vaseline (yes, Vaseline. I use it at night before bed) I used it when I was pregnant with Adrianna and had no stretch marks.
Food aversions:
None.
Doctor Visit:
No doctor visit, but had another ultrasound this week! She is doing good, and still a she. Here are some pictures I got from her this week. She definitely has Rusty’s lips and looks like how Adrianna looked in her ultrasounds.
Miss anything?
Being able to pick things up without grunting, and showing my clients certain moves without making me feel like a whale. Wine, and more wine. Not feeling like I could fall asleep at 8pm.
Fears:
Again with the c-section. But it is getting better, it is what I have to do and I just have to wrap my head around it.
Excited for anything?
Finishing up the walls in our baby room, having more time for cleaning and organizing more (yes, nesting…I need more baskets), and for course seeing the little one!
