How far along:
35 Weeks 5 Days
I love being pregnant, but some days are harder than others. And well, let’s be honest the later the pregnancy goes the harder EVERYDAY is. I have been really trying to cherish every moment because this is my last pregnancy. I love the kicks and movement, I love going to the doctor appointments and ultrasounds to see and hear how the baby is doing. But I have never been one that LOVES pregnancy. I have a physical job and that make every moving hard, and I’m SUPER grateful for every day I have been able to carry my baby. I know I will miss the little moments I get with her in my belly in 4 weeks or less. So every contraction or pain I endure I will make sure to think of the positives.
Symptoms:
My symptoms this week have been a combination of Braxton hicks and the lightning bolt pain that is coming from the hip flexor/groin area. It has really picked up and has been waking me up from dead sleep at night. Doctor said this is normal and the body is preparing for labor. I have been super tired but it could be a combo of getting up 4 times a night to go to the bathroom, which is funny because I have to go really bad in the middle of the night and then nothing really comes out. It must be the baby totally hitting the bladder. Funny girl….
I also have notice that the breast pain from the 1st trimester has come back, it went away in the middle of my 2nd trimester but certainly has come back with vengeance. Just another preparing for labor sign. I just hope she stays in for a couple more weeks. I want to make it to at least 38 weeks.
Cravings:
I have had cravings for foods that I wouldn’t normally eat, like French fries…so I made my own. Hey, I’m not going to deprive this child what she wants. Lol! I’m still craving grapefruit, and now yogurt. I finally found an OK yogurt that has less sugar than most dairy-free kinds and added fiber with 6 grams (ok amount) of protein. Like I said, it is not the best but there really isn’t a great alternative to dairy-free yogurt that does not have a done of sugar in it. If you are interested in what it is it is the Soy Silk ® Brand, I love the strawberry and blueberry and I actually add a ½ scoop protein powder to add more protein for my snack.
Movement:
She has been moving and she actually switch positions on me, she is usually on my right and Tuesday (Full Moon) she was moving a TON and I woke up with her on my left and she has been there since. She is still head down as I can tell since her hiccups are lower.
Exercise:
Exercise this week was good for this late in the game, still doing what I have been doing. My tummy has dropped and has gotten a tad bigger than the week before, so shirts are coming up on me when I reach overhead, so I look like a have a beer gut at this point.
My workout regimen during the 35th week, has looked like this:
SU-Rest day
M- Full body strength training workout, modified for my pregnancy and light training.
T- 60 minutes stair climber
W- Full body strength training workout, modified for my pregnancy.
Th-60 minute stair climber
F-Full body strength training workout
SA-Planning on a 20 minute stair climber + 40 minute leg routine
Sleep:
Sleep is something in the past, I’m SO tired all day but I have been having to go to the bathroom every 3 hours in the night and then my daughter has been sleeping in our bed, she keeps getting nightmares every night. I have to figure this out, because the baby is set to sleep in our room for a while, Adrianna will think it’s play time at 3 in the morning.
Baby Bump:
My belly has seemly gotten bigger and lower.
Weight gain:
I did gain a pound, my appetite came back this week. So in total I have gained 16.5lbs.
Stretch Marks:
None yet.
Food aversions:
None.
Doctor Visit:
No doctor visit till next week, at 36 weeks.
Miss anything?
I miss not being able to get out of bed or off the floor without grunting. Fitting into clothes, my belly has dropped so I look like I’m styling a beer gut at this point.
Excited for anything?
To meet my baby girl, it is getting SUPER close! Can’t wait!
