I’m allergic to oats as well as gluten and dairy. So I have been trying out new ways to make hot cereal with a oatmeal taste. This was pretty close with way more protein!
¼ large banana, mashed
1/2 cup egg whites
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
6 whole strawberries (frozen or fresh)
1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 tablespoon Stevia
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
In a bowl, whisk together mashed banana, strawberries, eggs, cinnamon, protein powder, Stevia and vanilla.
Cook over medium heat and stir frequently. As the strawberries begin to soften, mash them to your desired size/consistency. Let the cereal thicken to a porridge consistency (approximately 10 minutes).
*No Strawberries? Replace strawberries with any berry you like or chopped apples.
