Okay, if you can tell I’m a bit obsessed with the idea of pizza! I’m trying new idea’s to make it a little less carby and more waist friendly! This one my husband helped roll the meatball out, I hate touching raw meat!
Turkey Pizza Meatballs
Ingredients:
1 lbs. extra lean ground turkey
1/4 cup egg whites
2 cups of chopped fined fresh spinach
2 tbs. of cilantro
1/2 cup of chopped up fresh mushrooms
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 tsp. of pepper
A dash of salt (I used No Salt Salt)
2/3 cup shredded cheese (low fat, fat free or Rice Cheese)
1/2 container of Organic Pizza Sauce
Directions:
Preheat oven at 400.
Mix ground turkey the chopped spinach, egg whites, cilantro, mushrooms and onions together.
Roll them and use a 1/4 C measuring cup for each ball then roll and place them on a non-stick cookie sheet.
Bake them for 40 minutes.
Spoon out the pizza sauce and sprinkle the cheese over each meatball and put back in the oven for 10 minute or until the cheese melts.
Sprinkle cilantro on the top and serve!
Should make 15 little yummy Pizza Meatballs!
