How far along:
26 Weeks 5 Days
Symptoms:
Braxton hicks were a little less this week, thank goodness! But have been super tired this week, a little stress with a little incident from Monday night, and insomnia has hit which makes me one tired mama! My rib pain is almost gone, I think it was stretching from the week before that was making things uncomfortable. But my stomach is still super tight, like it is stretching and feeling super full after eating– even if it is just a little amount of food. I have been nauseous all week again, but not sure if it is morning sickness or heartburn. I did drink a little apple cider vinegar (for heartburn) and that almost made me lose my lunch so I will just deal with what I have going on.
Cravings:
I craving grapefruit, and salads this week….again. I still have been making my pumpkin pie protein bars and munching on those as a snack. This week has been a little off, and struggling to make all my meals work with the busy week I have had and also just not feeling super fab.
Movement:
This week she is moving a bunch more, she has already been keeping me up at night since that is when she goes boxing. I feel like the whole bed moves when she is punching away, she is obviously getting stronger.
Exercise:
Exercise is getting harder, and I really miss the hard workouts. Can’t wait till the 1st of the year to get some good workouts in. I did run once this week, this running thing may be ending soon. It is just too uncomfortable to run. But no biggie, got the rest of my life to run. Lifting weights has been a bigger part of my workouts, and changed my scenery this week and did my workouts at the gym a few days instead of my studio.
My workout regimen during the 26th week, has looked like this:
SU-Rest day (my rest days are more like active rest days, I will clean like a crazy woman and organize, go for a light walk with the family)
M-Full body strength training workouts (my online training program workouts)
T- 60 minutes on elliptical.
W- Full body strength training workout (again, my online training workouts)
Th-30 minutes elliptical and 25 minute interval run on the treadmill.
F- Full body strength training workouts (my online training program workouts)
SA-Stair climber for 20 minutes, and 40 minute leg workout at the gym.
Sleep:
The numbness in my arms and hands were better this week, I did visit the chiropractor (I go every 3 weeks) and it the numbness was much better afterwards. But this week the insomnia just kicked in and I have had 1 day of good sleep the whole week, so I’m a little tired. But I think this is just getting my body ready for no sleep when she finally arrives. I’m kind of ready for the no sleep, I mean really, Adrianna just started sleeping through the night in the last couple months and she is pushing 5 years old.
Belly Bump:
My belly is growing, and the belly is definitely bigger. Still wearing my normal pants, my leggings…they stretch. LOL! But my shirts are getting weird looking on my bump, so I have a few maternity t-shirts and tanks.
Weight gain:
I have gained a little less than a pound! Thank goodness, that 3 pounder that was gained last week was crazy! So altogether I have gained 15.5lbs.
Stretch Marks:
None so far. I have been using a coconut body butter after every shower and Vaseline (yes, Vaseline. I use it at night before bed) I used it when I was pregnant with Adrianna and had no stretch marks.
Food aversions:
None, but morning sickness came back this past weekend and has stuck around. Since my stomach is being squashed I haven’t been super hungry and I haven’t been able to eat much at each serving.
Miss anything?
Not grunting after picking something up off the ground, and rolling out of bed. Wearing clothes that fit properly. Not feeling like picking something up off the floor is a chore.
Excited for anything?
To see my baby girl!
I have to finish a couple more clips for this pregnancy workout series that I have put together tomorrow, because there was a few areas that didn’t take. So once this is complete, I will be extremely happy. I just need to get it done this week.
