How far along:
37 Weeks 5 Days
Symptoms:
This week’s symptoms have increased, since Tuesday, I the bloating has started. I have a slight edema in my legs, arms and belly. My wedding ring is still on, so that is good. I hope it continues, I can’t remember when I have to take it off with Adrianna. I was more puffy, last pregnancy.
Starting yesterday, I have been having some extreme back pain which came on all of a sudden. I called the clinic last night and they had me come in to labor and delivery since I’m having a C-section they don’t want me to progress too much. But I ended up getting the okay to go home and rest. I’m still only dilated to 1 and I would have to be a 4, to have a c section before 39 weeks. But woke up today and just have a slight back ache but more Braxton hicks.
My Braxton hicks are starting to become longer, and more intense. But not real contractions, I know what those feel like!
Nesting is in full swing, trying to organize and clean, even though cleaning with a 4 year old in the house is impossible. It’s making me one nutty mama!
Lastly, I have been super emotional this week. I’m usually not a crier, but everything has been setting me off. This week makes me feel like a box of crazy wrapped up in a bow….perfect Christmas gift!
Cravings:
My hunger is better this week, not as crazy. I think the little one has defiantly growing because looking at my pictures from 32 weeks to know…whoa! There is a huge difference.
My cravings have been bananas, tacos, chocolate and red meat. Not all together, that would be just weird. We eat turkey, or chicken tacos (in the crockpot) at least twice a week, and had a bison burger patty on a salad. I hit the craving spot! Oh, and made the Banana Nut Protein Bars this week from my website and that helped the craving for other stuff since it filled me up with the added protein. Movement:
Like I mentioned above, she is moving less but still moving her 10 times a day with the kick counts. Her movement is starting to hurt now, she is getting bigger and stronger. So I’m feeling like a punching bag now, and she loves to punch my right side pelvic bone, and I think she dropped a little more yeaterday because the punches are lower. She has always hit me there since she moved head down at 31 weeks. Still getting the lightning crotch pain when she moves, it is getting worse every day.
Exercise:
Not going to lie, I questioned myself daily this week to work out. But I did, it was a struggle but made it happen. I realized the more I questioned myself the harder it was to do, so if those of you question yourself before the workout…don’t. Just do it and not think about it. Which can be hard, but seriously, I started today off that way and it was hard to start but felt better after I finished.
My workout regimen during the 36th week, has looked like this:
I used this program for my workouts: The Determined FIT Pregnancy
SU-Rest day
M- Full body strength training workout, modified for my pregnancy.
T- 60 minutes elliptical trainer at home
W- Full body strength training workout, modified for my pregnancy.
Th-55 minutes elliptical.
F-Full body strength training workout, modified for my pregnancy.
SA-Planning on another elliptical workout at home for 30 minutes, and 30 minutes legs.
Sleep:
Sleeping is not really happening, between getting up to go to the bathroom on average 5 times a night and her strong movement. But I had a couple days this week that I was able to take a quick cat nap, which helped me function for the rest of the day. The fatigue is real right now, so exhausted from doing most things during the day. Not my norm, so it has been super frustrating.
Baby Bump:
My belly is getting larger and in charge. I feel like it grew so quick in the last 3 weeks, and I’m sure it will get even bigger in the next 2 weeks.
Weight gain:
I gained a pound and a half. So in total I have gained 19lbs.
Stretch Marks:
None yet.
Food aversions:
None.
Doctor Visit:
My 37 week appointment was on Tuesday and it was uneventful, the doctor noticed slight edema has started. But not alarming since my blood pressure is at 96/66, super low and no other indication of preeclampsia. I did not have a change in the cervix check, which was crazy since I had so many pains. But really the checks can mean nothing, really.
Yesterday (Thursday), I did get sent to labor and delivery to be check to make sure I wasn’t having back labor. It was super intense and I don’t want to progress too much if I’m schedule for a C-section, but they sent me home since only change was the effacement, so I’m now at 70%. Which is suppose to better than dilation. But again, I may have this pain and cramping for the next 2 weeks. You just never know when the little one will want to make her appearance. I’m hoping she hangs tight until I’m 39 weeks…crossing my fingers!
Miss anything?
I miss not being able to bend over and shaving my legs at this point. I still do but it is a real struggle! Which also includes putting on shoes and pants in the same category!
Excited for anything?
To meet my baby girl, and also fit in clothes that I don’t look like I squished sausage in….
